A dairy in great shape
In 1979 four regional dairies including the Laiterie Centrale de Strasbourg united to form Alsace Lait. The Laiterie Centrale was then one of the most modern in France and the first dairy to systematically pasteurise milk.
This merger marked Alsace Lait with modernity. The dairy is located on an ultra modern production site. All operations are carried out in strict compliance with quality standards while respecting product authenticity.
A cooperative spirit makes all the difference.
Near to 360 Alsatian farmers supply Alsace Lait with milk each day. They are much more than just suppliers as they are actively involved in the operations and results of our cooperative dairy. They must be as they are also shareholders.
The strength of Alsace Lait lies in a complete mastery of the dairy process: husbandry, collection, transformation and sale. This autonomy means setting high standards provides for great reactivity.
